Monday restocks are in, and we’ve got plenty to keep your games going this week. Lets begin shall we?
As seen in Wil Wheaton’s Titansgrave RPG, Green Ronin’s Adventure Game Engine or AGE system is a robust, simple RPG system perfect for both new players and jaded veterans alike. Jump into the AGE with both the Fantasy AGE Core Book and the Titansgrave: The Ashes of Valkana Setting Book, or just head back to Thedas to revisit the game that launched it all with the all new Dragon Age Core Rulebook.
You’ve fought Aliens aboard the Nostromo, now face down the Predators out to kill you in Legendary Encounters: A Predator Deck Building Game. Using the elegant Legendary Encounters deck building mechanics, fight a hopeless struggle to bring your strike team back alive, or harvest grim trophies as a Predator on the prowl. And just to kick it up a notch, this is fully compatible with the Alien set. AVP? Yes please.
In Empire Engine, players take on the role of a mighty empire, powered by rotating gears. During the game, players simultaneously rotate their dials to choose their actions allowing them to collect resources, attack their enemies and defend, salvage, export, or collect resources. The player who scores the most points for the goods, soldiers and inventions in their score pile at the end of the game is the winner in this 30 minute game of interstate conflict.
In Alchemists, two to four budding alchemists compete to discover the secrets of their mystical art. Players gain knowledge by mixing ingredients and testing the results. Players can also earn money by selling potions of questionable quality to adventurers, but money is just a means to an end. The alchemists don’t want riches, after all. They want respect, and respect usually comes from publishing theories. What arcane secrets do these strange ingredients hide? Now it is time to find out.

Pandemic Legacy starts what will be one of the worst years in human history with the world on the brink of disaster. Whether it is the worst year is up to the players, who must band together to save the world. Unlike in Pandemic, actions taken in one game of Pandemic Legacy affect all future games. Characters will change. Some may be lost. Heroes will emerge. And, of course, there are the diseases, which start under control, but soon mutate into far deadlier forms
Can you save humanity?
Or are we going to drown in a sea of microbes?
The world is on the brink of disaster. In Pandemic Legacy, your disease fighting team must keep four deadly diseases at bay for a whole year. Each month will bring new surprises as you open yet another sealed slot to access the cards inside, and your actions in each game will have repercussions on the next. Will you let cities fall to the diseases? Will your team be enough to keep the viruses at bay for a whole year?
Craft your own unique Pandemic experience with Pandemic Legacy.
The Game of Thrones LCG 2nd Edition releases today, October 6, 2015.
Come down to Games @ PI and grab your copy today.
When you play the Game of Thrones you win or you die, there is no middle ground.
Return to the strife torn continent of Westeros with the all new edition of Fantasy Flight Games’ A Game of Thrones LCG. Command the steadfast Starks, the conniving Lannisters or cast your lots in with the Greyjoys and Targaryens as you struggle for control of the Iron Throne. Go head to head in the two-player Joust format or participate in a deadly Melee multiple struggle.
In A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, the warring factions of Westeros await your command, inviting you to engage in a life-or-death struggle. In every game, you select devious plots and challenge your opponents on the field of battle, through back alley intrigue, and in the political arena. Designed for play both as a two-player game and in a multi-player format, A Game of Thrones brings the deadly power struggles of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire to your tabletop.
It’s another Monday haul folks and we’ve got some new titles out, as well a slab of classic titles. If you’re looking to get some quality gaming, its a good time to go shopping!
What if you could loop back in time to stop a Tragedy? In Tragedy Looper, you can. In each game, a hidden Mastermind player will unfold a mystery as the Protagonists try to figure out what is going on and break out of the time loop maze and create a happy future. Will you earn your happy ending? Or will the Mastermind feast upon the misery of their opponents.
In Samurai, players compete to gain the favor of three factions: samurai, peasants, and priests, scattered about the board, which features the islands of Japan. The competition is waged through the use of hexagonal tiles, each of which help curry favor of one of the three factions . As each faction is surrounded, it is awarded to the player who has gained the most favor with the corresponding group.
In this reprint of a classic, in HEY! THAT’S MY FISH! a gaggle of Penguins battle over fishing grounds on a rapidly shrinking iceberg. Each turn, a player moves one penguin in a straight line over hex-shaped ice tiles. The player then collects the hex from where the penguin started its movement from the table, thereby creating a gap which penguins can’t cross on future turns. When a penguin is stranded, it’s removed from play with its owner claiming the tile on which it stands. The player who collects the most fish wins.
Pandemic: The Cure, a dice-based version of the popular Pandemic board game, sets up in less than a minute and plays in 30 minutes. As in the board game, four diseases threaten the world and it’s up to your team to save humanity. You and your team must keep the world’s hotspots in check before they break out of control, while researching cures to the four plagues. If too many outbreaks take place, too many people get infected, or the rate of infection gets too high, all the players lose. If, however, the players can discover the cures to the four diseases, they all win and humanity is saved!
