Hey PI-Fans, Apologies for the minimal updates so far this month. September has been crazy so far, and we figured it would probably work better for us to focus on keeping the store full of product. Sourcing has see a couple of classic titles run a touch low, so we figure you'll want to know what's back. On the party game front, Really Loud Librarians has popped back up on the shelf, ready to keep you all bellowing words at each other. Likewise Poetry for Neanderthals and it's expansions are back for all your word whacking needs. Keeping on the theme of indiscriminate violence, Let's Hit Each Other with Fake Swords presents an excellent means to resolve any disputed card draw by literally having players bludgeon each other into submission with fake swords. Hey PI-Fans, This week's releases really need no explanation. Air, Land and Sea: Critters at War and Critters at War: Flies, Lies and Supplies are thematic reskins of the excellent 2-player card game Air, Land and Sea and Spies, Lies and Supplies. Redrawn with cartoon animals, the game maintains the simple elegance of the area-majority hand management card game, with players trying to play card totals which outscore their opponent in two or more of the respective scoring zones. Except with fuzzy animals. Given the Bloomburrow Prerelease we held recently for Magic: The Gathering, I'm sensing a theme. Hey PI-Fans, Do you know what more card games need? Violence. The delightfully named "Let's Hit Each Other With Fake Swords" aims to enthusiastically fill that void in gaming by mixing set collection gameplay with the most elegant of dispute settlement mechanics - hitting each other. Designed as a party game for 3 to 6 players, games of Let's Hit Each Other With Fake Swords are short and amusing affairs - each turn has players simultaneously indicating which of different piles of cards they wish to take for a round. Should more than one player want a specific stack of cards, the most adult conflict resolution of inter-player violence will come into play. Get 3 cards of the same color to make a set.
