Go Farm

Hey PI-Fans,

Another week rolls around and we’re keeping the momentum going with more releases on the board game and RPG fronts.

Now to arm twist someone into running Tales from the Loop.

– Kenneth, Games @ PI Manager

Step into the alternate ’80s universe created by scifi artist Simon Stålenhag in this retro RPG, in the vein of ET and Stranger Things. Middle school was the worst of days. Puberty, parents, school yard cliques, cybernetically enhanced birds attacking your sleepy town. For the children of the Tales from the Loop RPG, winner of five ENnies in 2017 including Best Game, Best Setting, Best Writing and Product of the Year, this is but a small sample of the things they have to deal with on an everyday basis.

The Champions are here and determined to bring optimism to the world after Civil War II when Avenger fought Avenger. Expand your Legendary experience with a new generation of Marvel heroes! Taking inspiration from Marvel’s run of Champions that was born from the events in the wake of Civil War II, Legendary Champions brings 100 new cards to the Legendary Deck-Building Game, including five new heroes, two new villain groups, and two new masterminds.

Plot your farms in Harvest Dice, a fast, fun game of dice drafting and veggie doodling! In Harvest Dice, players are farmers managing their vegetable plot and trying to profit the most from the coming harvest.  Each round, players take turns rolling and selecting dice in order to plant veggies in their gardens or feed them to their pig. However, keep an eye on the ever-changing market because you want to make sure you have plenty of desirable vegetables come harvest time.

There and back again

Hey PI Fans,

After taking an unintended Asian tour to several different countries through a thunderstorm, a host of service disruptions and a multitude of shipping errors, something has finally wandered in.

Here’s a quick look at the new stuff, fresh from what was arguably the worst logistics disaster I’ve experienced in a while.

– Kenneth, Games @ PI Manager

Long Cow is a moo-mentous card game of competitive cattle construction! Build cows by collecting heads, tails, and middles from the deck. The longer the cow, the more points you score. Bolster your barn with holy cows, robot cows, and even a cross-bred Franken-cow. But make hay before your herd is hit by a tornado, or worse- an alien abduction! Round up the biggest bovines and party like the cows came home!

It’s time for a new wave of Unlock! adventures with three new exciting escape experiences ready to be challenged. Professor Noside returns for revenge in A Noside Story, you’ll attempt to keep train robbers away from your precious cargo in Tombstone Express, and you can help Dorothy and her friends escape the Wicked Witch of the West in The Adventures of Oz.

In The Labyrinths of Lunacy, you and your fellow investigators wake to find yourselves gathered in a strange place, with no memory of how you arrived. With this unique, 80-card standalone scenario for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, you become the prisoner of a mysterious mastermind, forced to take part in his cruel experiments. To escape, you and your fellow investigators will need to work together. You’ll need to piece together the clues to solve your captor’s twisted riddles. And you’ll need to hurry—you aren’t alone in this prison…

Discover what secrets have been drowned in Devil Reef in The Deep Gate! This Arkham Horror novella by Chris A. Jackson takes readers on a voyage up the Miskatonic River running through Arkham and the along the coasts of fear-shadowed Innsmouth where sailor Silas Marsh seeks answers about the nightmares that have plagued him since his parents’ death. The Deep Gate includes four exclusive cards for Arkham Horror: The Card Game which allow players to add Silas Marsh to their team of investigators, marking his first appearance in the game.

Shiba Tsukune wasn’t supposed to become the Champion of the Phoenix Clan, but their ancient sword chose her. Trained as a samurai warrior, she was to be the bodyguard of Isawa Tadaka, a powerful shugenja—and the man she loved. Although her new duties have drawn them apart, she refuses to stand by and watch as Tadaka falls to the darkness within him. The Sword and the Spirits novella  also features two alternate art cards for Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game, including an extended art version of Kaito Kosori and the currently unavailable Ofushikai, ancestral weapon of the Phoenix Clan.

Vampire: The Eternal Struggle

Hey PI-Fans,

It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything new out of the World of Darkness, hasn’t it?

We’re launching preorders for Black Chantry’s Vampire: The Eternal Struggle Keepers of Tradition reprint sets (last seen in print a full decade ago) as well as the all new Lost Kindred expansion, focusing on the minor bloodlines of the Blood Brothers, Gargoyles, Harbingers of Skulls, Salubri antitribu, and Samedi vampire clans.

Keepers of Tradition Reprint Set 1, Keepers of Tradition Reprint Set 2 and Lost Kindred can now be preordered at Games @ PI at a member’s price of $45 per production set. Preorders close on  24th May 2018 and a deposit is required. Delivery subject to manufacturer availability.

Card Lists For Each Set Available Below

Vampire: the Eternal Struggle (or VTES for short) is a multi-player collectable card game based on the award-winning Vampire: the Masquerade role playing game in which players take on the role of ancient vampires known as a Methuselahs. Considered mere legend by many, Methuselahs rule everything from the shadows, engaging in a eons-long Machiavellian conflict that encompasses political, social, and even physical warfare. The struggle is won or lost based on the actions taken by your minions – younger vampires who unknowingly do your bidding. In this way, the game can allow for deep and immersive storytelling as your minions purchase equipment, hire retainers, even suggest legislative changes to vampiric society, all in the service of your dark plots.

Always Bet On The House…

Hey PI-Fans,

It’s time to plumb the mysteries of the Hermetic Order of the Silver Twilight, better known as the Silver Twilight Lodge. The new Mansions of Madness expansion “Sanctum of Twilight” shines the spotlight on these shady occultists and their nefarious misdeeds.

Are they friend? Or foe? This is Arkham. Seriously. Why are we even asking?
Well, we’re about to find out, given Sanctum of Twilight releases today. Join Politician Charlie Kane with his skill at glad pandering and Martial Artist Lily Chen with her power of… well… punching things (sometimes also kicking) as they investigate the secrets of the lodge in Arkham’s French District.

With a little luck, maybe they’ll even make it out of this unscathed. Well… Mostly anyway.

Within the lavish rooms of the Silver Twilight Lodge, the most influential citizens of Arkham gather to forge business alliances, plan parades, and lobby politicians. In secret, they also meet to enact forbidden rituals with dark consequences. The poor souls who discover this truth often vanish, never to be seen again.

Sanctum of Twilight is an expansion for Mansions of Madness Second Edition that unites two new investigators against the Order of the Silver Twilight in two thrilling scenarios. With new spells, items, mechanics, and a new monster, this expansion immerses players in the Arkham Files universe as they confront the dangers threatening Arkham from within.

Russian About

Hey PI-Fans,

You know its going to be an entertaining week when Monday attempts to kill you with a fern. Ask me about it sometime.

On the topic of different kind of entertaining, we have games. Games are good. Games will never fall out of trees and attempt to crush you. Ahem…

Back on topic.

There’s a new Smash Up set in town: That 70s Expansion unleashes  Truckers, Disco, Vigilantes and Kung Fu Fighters into your every growing Smash Up collection. Meanwhile both Scythe and Terraforming Mars have come trundling back in as well with their own slew of expansion (‘Hellas and Elysium’ and ‘Venus Next’ for Terraforming Mars and ‘Invaders From Afar’ and ‘The Wind Gambit’ for Scythe). We’ve also got the Disciples of the Void expansion for Legend of the Five Rings. And last but not least… anyone who wants to boldly go will want to check out the Star Trek Role Playing Game.

So yeah. Hopefully reality’s done with attempting to kill me for the week and I can get back to my job of purveying awesome games.

Vlka Fenryka???? Wait. What?

“The best way to defeat a Space Wolf is to wolf his wolf. You must be careful, though, because if the Space Wolf wolfs your wolf first, then your wolf is wolfed.”

– Attributed to Wolf Lord Egil Ironwolf, On the Intricacies of Tactical Wolffare

Murder Servitors Have Been Dispatched

From the frozen world of Fenris, the Space Wolves sail out across the Sea of Stars, seeking enemies to vanquish and worlds to save. Proud and noble savages, the Space Wolves eschew the teachings of the Codex Astartes in favour of the traditions laid down by their Primarch Leman Russ – their armies filled with giant wolves, lone heroes and skyborne longships. Spurred on by the return of a living legend, the Space Wolves stand as living proof that even in the dark future there can still be heroes.

The Iron Wolves Cometh
The ponderous Leman Russ is generally only used by the Astra Militarum, being deemed too slow for the lightning strikes favored by the Adeptus Astartes. Yet even this honoured tank finds its place in the armoury of the Sons of Russ and their iconoclastic ways of war. Where even the lethal Predator and Vindicator packs of the Iron Wolves struggle, the battle tanks named for their Primarch grind forward inexorably, guns scything through the serried ranks of foe as they shrug off desperate return fire to crush the dead and dying beneath adamantine tracks.

A New Saga of Heroes
Lieutenants act as the right hands of the Wolf Lords by providing flexibility and helping to direct their battle-brothers in engagements. Great Companies are often split into 2 Demi-companies, each of which falls under the command of a Lieutenant who leads his brothers unflinchingly into battle. Space Wolves Lieutenants are presented the mantle of leadership by the personal recommendation of the Wolf Lords, and these aspiring heroes lead the packs to glory, eager to forge their own growing saga into a personal tale of heroism.

Death From Afar
The Long Fangs form a cadre of veterans, hoary with age, proud and wise. Ensconced within the armoured fury of the mighty Centurion armour, these long-range specialists pound enemy positions with salvos of heavy weapons fire. Standing resolute against the worst the foe can throw against them, the Long Fangs exact disproportionate retribution  with weapons of their own, pulping infantry with unending streams of bolter fire and reducing enemy armour to burning pyres with deadly precise lascannon shots.  Even should the fighting turn to the press of melee, these cagey veterans are far from helpless, the bulk of their armor smashing those who thought them defenceless to the ground to be trampled underfoot.

COMING SOON????Check the Calender Date.

– Space Wolves are rebuilding slowly after Wrath of Magnus, hampered by significant population losses on Fenris.

– Wolves now have Primaris Great Companies. 13th through 16th Companies are exclusively Primaris. Mixed squads are filling ranks in other depleted Companies.
(13th Company re-instituted at Guilliman’s orders)

Wolf Priests still around. Space Wolves also get Primaris Chaplains and Primaris Apothecaries who are responsible for policing Wulfen mutation (Disciplinary Officer icon on Shoulder Pad)

– Initial joyous reunion now leading to internal suspicions. The Wolves starting to suspect Guilliman means to slowly bring them to compliance. New Primaris Wolf Lords not getting along with Logan and the Old Guard. Chaplains and Apothecaries not helping.

– The Boss is back somehow but not entirely lucid. Prone to bouts of uncontrolled savagery. Unexplained. Read the Codex. Suspicious of Guilliman’s true intentions/identity?. Claims he ‘reeks of duplicity‘. “Not the Brother I once knew.” Not happy with the current state of the Wolves either. Cold to Bjorn who he blames for not leading them properly.
