The Dungeons & Dragons Adventurer’s League Open House

Hey PI-Fans,

Over the weekend, we ran our seasonal Dungeons & Dragons Adventurer’s League Open House in conjunction with D&D Adventurer’s League Singapore.

Designed to introduced new players to the hobby of role-playing, we had a full house of players learning to role-play with our friendly Dungeon Masters as well as many who stopped by the hobby table to learn to paint their own character miniatures.

A store full of happy faces is testament to a job well done, and we’re looking forward to running more of such events in the future.

Early Closing Monday 11/3/19

Hey PI-Fans,

We’re closing early on Monday 11/3/19 at 1900 hrs for a staff appreciation event.

The Games @ PI team has been working non-stop since the Christmas Rush to keep the store filled to the brim with board games, so we’re taking the night off to feed the minions.

We’ll be back to regular operating hours the following day.

What Doesn’t Kill Us…

Hey PI-Fans,

We’ve had a slab of new stuff roll in over the course of the previous week, so we figured we might as well recap the new titles which have trundled in.

Your task seems simple. You are given a word, and you need your teammates to guess it. However, the other team has already seen your word, and they have made a list of “trapwords” that you can’t say. You don’t know what’s on their list…and there’s a time limit. Go! Trapwords is a fun and fast-paced party game for two teams, who simultaneously prepare their lists of trapwords. The simple task of giving clues for your word is made fiendishly difficult by not knowing which words you can’t say. If you succeed, you advance to higher levels with more trapwords and additional challenges.

Have you completed a GEN7 campaign? Want to spice it up? The Breaking Point expansion for GEN7 introduces the new Logistics Barracks to the game and allows for a fifth player to join your GEN7 campaign! Want to show your friends that it was you carrying them the entire time? The new competitive scenario in The Breaking Point lets you take the end of the campaign one step further, allowing up to six players to battle it out for final control of the ship.

Let’s make one thing perfectly clear: The island is out to get you. Fireballs, of course. But there’s a whole lot more on the island that will have you running for your life. The Crouching Tiger, Hidden BEES! expansion for Fireball Island introduces two new threats. The crouching tiger introduces a dexterity shot. Place it on the table next to the board, press down, and launch it towards your foes. The hidden bees make up for their smaller size with their swarming numbers. Put all the little yellow marbles into the beehive, pour them through Vul-Kar, and watch the mayhem ensue.

Unlock! Exotic Adventures features three new “escape room” scenarios that you can play on your tabletop. Explore an island full of dinosaurs in Expedition: Challenger, fend off the nightmarish Boogeymen in Night of the Boogeymen and take a trip to medieval Arabia in Scheherazade’s Last Tale.

And then there’s this.

Post CNY

Hey PI-Fans,

Just a reminder the the order period for Feldher cases closes tomorrow on the 8th of February.

Now that that’s out of the way, with the Lunar New Year celebrations out of the way, it’s time to invest some of the New Year loot into a new title or two.

It seemed like a good idea at the time: a week-long vacation at famed Ludwig Castle. You and your friends laughed off the ridiculous rumors about it being a haven for werewolves. But now, deep in the maze of rooms that comprise the castle, you realize that the rumors seem to have some validity; you’re not sure whom to trust. One Week Ultimate Werewolf takes the gameplay of One Night Ultimate Werewolf and twists it up in a knot, with ever-increasing tension as you venture into the special rooms of Ludwig Castle. Each room provides a special power, and those powers are the key to figuring out the mystery of who among you is a werewolf.

Welcome to the city of Machi Koro. You’ve just been elected Mayor.  Armed only with your trusty die and a dream, you must grow Machi Koro into the largest city in the region. You will need to collect income from developments, build public works, and steal from your neighbors’ coffers. Just make sure they aren’t doing the same to you! Machi Koro returns with an all new 5th Anniversary Edition, containing molded custom 3D coins, reworked card text for ease of play and an all new rulebook with clearer text and examples!

Long ago, a pirate ship crashed on the shores of Fireball Island. During your visit, you can stumble upon it through one of the many caves. Gather the pirates’ treasure, but watch out for cannonballs that seem to be fired by apparitions of the long-dead buccaneers. Wreck of the Crimson Cutlass introduces a new play area to Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar. The ship features new treasures to collect and introduces new action cards with more of a take-that feel. On the ship, you’ll face two new threats. The crow’s nest collect marbles until it suddenly tips over, spilling them all over the deck of the ship while the jolly roger in the bow launches a single marble toward anyone foolish enough to take the captain’s wheel.
