Hey PI-Fans,

October has been a rough month, enough to lay me flat – in this case quite literally with a thrown back. Credit and thanks go out to my heroic team of staff who kept the store running (and not on fire) while I was out of action and thank you to all the friends of the store who noticed my distress.

With things, slowly grinding back into place, we’ve restocked out shelves with copies of the classic card game Dobble and many of the game’s variants. Most recently off the boat are the The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings set, the double-sized Disney Edition set with twice the usual number of cards and the headliner Dobble Catan.

Designed with a whole series of team-based Catan-themed minigames, Dobble Catan eschews the usual lighter mechanics for several unique area-control mechanics that see players sprawling off a set of unique hexagonal cards representing the island of Catan.
