Hey PI-Fans,

While restocking the shelves, we’ve taken the opportunity to crack open a couple of newly arrived boxes and load the shelves up with several new titles.

First up are a pair of fancy bite sized pieces of fun from both Unstable Games, publisher of Unstable Unicorns and Exploding Kittens Games. Unstable Games’ Sand and Wind Expansion for the Command of Nature deck building adds in a pair of additional Elemental Sages, while Exploding Kittens pops out the Grab & Game edition of That Escalated Quickly allowing you to keep the player arranging cooperative game on you in pocket form.

The largest box of the trio is Monkey Palace, a family game where players stack Lego bricks (Yes, actual Lego Bricks) to outscore their opponents by pleasing the watching Lego monkey figure through a combination of clever construction and decoration.

This is on top of the usual spread of titles that we make a point of keeping in stock like the ever-popular Wingspan, Dixit and Kingdomino.

As always, we hope you’ll have a great week gaming and we hope to see you over in the store.

2 or 4 Players, 30-60 mins, Ages 10+
(Command of Nature: Sand & Wind requires a copy of Command of Nature to play)

That Escalated Quickly: Grab and Game Edition is a pocket sized travel version of the original That Escalated Quickly card game

In the cooperative game That Escalated Quickly, players are working together to arrange concepts numerically from one to five.

First, read out a simple question (ex. I’m locked in a tiny room. What else is locked in here with me from cutest to scariest). Then everyone is assigned a secret number from one to ten. Next, each player gives an answer to the question, and the intensity of that answer is based on their secret number (ex. 1= a bunny, 5= a grizzly bear with chainsaw arms.) Finally, the person who read the question has to try and sort those answers into the correct order. If they get it right everyone wins!

That Escalated Quickly: Grab and Game Edition

Compete against each other while you help the Monkey rebuild the LEGO® Monkey Palace.

Cleverly build your way upwards, creating longer and taller staircases to get bricks and Banana Points in this innovative and strategic building board game.

Players must strategically work together to construct the Monkey Palace while competing for the highest brick income and points, all under the watchful gaze of the Monkey. The palace gradually takes form thanks to a construction using LEGO elements, and each time the board game is played, the building experience and final construction are unique.

With no single route to victory, you’ll always want to play again!
