Background:

The Warpeden Project, a collective group who claims that mankind can outlive the eternal war by creating a sanctuary in the warp. They have many members with varying levels of loyalty to the base idealogy. One of them is an exalted Sorceror who used to be a body double of Ahriman.

This fellow went back in time accidentally, with a number of men and tzaangors along in his ship. They reappear in the Charadon System, and after the initial confusion, their new purpose is clear: Wage a crusade in the name of Tzeentch in the Great Game against Nurgle!

First Battle:

Mission: Resupply.

Status: Grave Folly

It was a disaster. The ruins was meant to be a starting space to set up a base of operations. The only threat there was the followers of Khorne. It was obvious, there were pools of blood, and skulls as numerous as the rocks.

The Pretender of Ahriman soared over the landscape, and caught sight of the roving madmen of red armoured warriors. The Hounds of Ruin, as they are called.

As the tzaangors and humans approach, intending to set up a firing front, the Berserkers launched themselves forwards, as if the first signs of life is enough to instill unholy adrenaline into them.

This caused the squads to falter as their sense of mortality took over them at tide of the high speed threshing machines. The Pretender swoops down to teleport away the cultists, which finds themselves in the new position of flanking the recently summoned Bloodthirsters.

It did not take long before the waves run over the bluetinted horned soldiers. With determination, the cultists wiped out the Bloodthirsters which kept trying coming back. From this small victory, they continue to charge at the Havocs, which had been giving supporting fire at the carnage.

In the end, it was an utter defeat. While Tzeentch's servants were able to recover eventually, they still feel the bitterness of shameful death. The one who suffered the most is Captain Redmane, who is Scarred with the Mark of Shame. They could've helped to shoot at the Daemons, but the flickering Bloodthirsters were smart enough to sacrifice the right combatants to avoid the bullets' range.
