Hey PI-Fans,
The PI Games SG60 Sale is still going strong this month both via our physical store and the webstore, so if you’re going hunting for a board game or two or getting a collection started, now’s a good opportunity to swing in.
This of course does not stop us from piling the shelves high with restocks and new titles. This is ultimately something we enjoy, after all. Turning up this week is a whacky throng of misfits, with a serious roll-and-write, a hand shedding card game and… feline destruction. Turning up alongside as well is a stack of sought after classics like Sequence and Scotland Yard as well as modern additions like Machi Koro and a smattering of pocket-sized card games like Sushi Go and many of the Oink Games titles have been restocked as well.
Of course, if you are after something with a bit more teeth, perhaps consider something like Scythe, Harmonies or Tokaido if you’re looking to spend a bit more time on your gaming hobby.
We’re still doing what we love, with gamers playing Warhammer and Magic: The Gathering games over the weekends as well, so if you’re after a bit of fun, it never hurts to pop over and introduce yourself.
As always, we’d be happy to have you.
Just in time to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Exploding Kittens cards game, the folks at Exploding Kittens game have popped out a board game version of the classic Exploding Kittens!
In Exploding Kittens – The Board Game, your goal is to make it to the end of the board without landing on an Exploding Kitten. To do that, you’ll play cards and plot strategies to sabotage your opponents and manoeuvre them onto Exploding Kittens spaces by stacking the deck in your favour. Don’t get too comfortable though, because this board game is built to flip, transforming it back and forth from Calm and Chaos modes, each with their own differing hijinks. You have to think fast, form alliances, play smart, and avoid the Exploding Kittens at all costs.

A classic of the Hand-Shedding genre of card games, Gang of Four is loosely based loosely on Cho Dai Di and is a Ladder Climbing card game where players play escalating hands of card suites with the goal of emptying their hands faster than the rest of the players.
The game’s premise is simple – be the first to rid yourself of all your cards through playing them out in ever increasing scoring suites and ascend to supreme power with the malicious “The strong get stronger, the weak weaker” that lets winning players fish cards from losers in subsequent rounds. But beware – a strategic misstep may find you in a struggle to survive as the rest of the table turns on the leader.

This flip-and-write game follows the highly acclaimed and Spiel des Jahres 2023 Nominee Next Station London with a similar mechanic and all new challenges! Players are presented with a grid of differing stations. Each turn players will reveal the next station card and have to draw a subway line on your map in order to connect the requested station to the line.
