Hey PI-Fans,

It’s a brand-new month and things are chugging along on our end, with the usual restock shipments slamming into the store like a reload. 

Four new titles hit the shelves with the new Sharks and Reefs expansion for Finspan slipping into the store alongside the incredibly sought after Wingspan Pocket standalone card game. Cooperative junkies can look to The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth for another card slinging cooperative from Kosmos Games. Likewise, if you’re a tabletop wargamer, you’re in luck; BattleTech Aces: Scouring Sands contains a complete Jade Falcon task force ready to go for the popular Alpha Strike game system along with automata rules for solo play,

All of this comes in on top of the usual restocks that see the return of evergreen titles like Catan and the 5-6 Player extension, Bomb Busters, Root, Poetry for Neanderthals, Harmonies and Flip 7 to our shelves. Expect more to come as we work our way through the heap of boxes that have flooded in with the shipment.

In The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth, travel around the world in a race against time on the hunt for Charlemagne’s secret treasure. Follow clues that will lead you up Mount Everest, through the Amazon Rainforest, and beyond. It’s up to you how your story will end. Will you make it in time, or will you be too late? The only way to find out is by playing. New mission mechanics take you through 25 stages of your journey, each with their own challenging mission. Wingspan Pocket distills the Wingspan experience down to a lighter, shorter, card-driven game that has each player activate a single row of cards on each of their turns. The cards are all double sided: a food side and a bird side. Bird powers are primarily indicated by icons instead of text, and they include a new type of ongoing (green) power. Wingspan Pocket is designed to be accessible to novice players yet also compelling for more experienced gamers. This is a standalone game in a small box, not an expansion (the birds in it are not compatible with Wingspan). Wingspan Pocket features birds from around the world.

Finspan: Sharks & Reefs adds to the variety of the core game with a focus on sharks and fish that live among coral reefs. This expansion introduces new coral reef habitats to your ocean mat and more incredible sharks—with fearsome new abilities!

Players can now nurture colorful coral reefs in each of their ocean’s three dive sites. Healthy reefs enable you to play powerful reef fish, unlock fish abilities, and score bonuses at the end of the game. Meanwhile, sharks scatter schools of young (to form even more schools elsewhere) and leave behind food scraps that any fish in your ocean can consume.
