It would have been nice if this had arrived a week earlier for May 4th, but such is life.
Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game has meandered onto shelves. Meanwhile the webmonkeys have been hard at work ensuring that the Carcassonne Anniversary Edition Box, Star Wars: Deckbuilding Game, 13 Words and Really Loud Librarians have made it to the Games @ PI webstore along with the slab of additional stuff.
Carcassonne Anniversary Edition Box
The classic game inspired by the medieval fortress found in Southern France returns for its 20th anniversary with a new look, enhanced visuals, and a few new gameplay experiences. The Carcassonne 20th Anniversary Edition comes with the base game, but upgraded with a high gloss, UV spot print on all the tiles and the box to truly make the details shine, while the tiles themselves are upgraded with brand new illustrations and decorated with characters.
13 Words
13 Words is a co-operative idea-association party game in which the team aims for the highest score possible.
To set up, lay out twelve double-sided word cards on the perimeter of the game board, then place a word card in the center of the board. This round’s Captain wants to find the most obvious link between this central word and one of the outer words. The Captain indicates their choice on their answer wheel, and all other players try to guess the Captain’s choice. Each player who guesses correctly wins a star, and the Captain collects a star as long as at least one player earned a star this round.
After eleven rounds, the game ends, and players tally their stars to determine the success level of the team. The best possible score is 11 times the number of players. How did you do?

IN THIS GAME, YOUR USELESS KNOWLEDGE WILL WIN YOU USEFUL POINTS
Think fast, not hard in this merciless word-shouting board game. Start by drawing a category card. Your team will then shout words from that category that begin with the letter on the race track. Move along the track every time you get a word right and race against your opponents to win. This is a simple game for versatile occasions. Play it as a two-player game for a casual night-in or bring it along as a party game for big groups.
