From the minds at Gameplaywright comes ‘Things We Think About Games‘, a self-declared ‘unholy mixture of helpful guidebook and jabbing provocation‘ comprising a series of essays, snark and pithy comments from industry veterans – some informative, some agreeable, some questionable, all worth ruminating on.

On the other hand, if you’re after a deeper dive, ‘Meeples Together‘ is an encyclopedic treatment of the cooperative board game genre, with design commentary from industry insiders.

Then take theory into practice with ‘The White Box‘, a learning, planning, and prototyping tool for tabletop game designers. Containing a book of 18 essays on game design and production and a set of components for prototyping, the White Box is an invaluable tool for an aspiring designer.

On the other hand, what if you just want to eat, drink, be merry and play games?
