Oddly Hungry

Hey PI-Fans, It's been one of those days. The manager has been wandering around the store wearing a Tricorn. We're concerned about his stability. Send help... Meanwhile. Ignoring him for a moment. We're hard at work keeping the shelves loaded with new games. Use the freshest, tastiest ingredients to make the biggest, most mouthwatering, gourmet burgers around. Satisfy your customers to earn money, upgrade your restaurant, and become the best burger restaurant in town. Players take turns to purchase ingredients from the market, assemble burgers, the Burger Up! phase where players may score their burgers if they satisfy an order.  A bonus is awarded to the Chef who served the most burgers in the endgame and then the winner is determined, based on who has earned the most. Fluxx turns 21, and Looney Labs is  celebrating by publishing Drinking Fluxx! With rules that are always changing, Drinking Fluxx will keep you on [...]

A New Batch Of Boxes

Hey PI-Fans, I've sat here attempting to type something witty for some time now. I've failed. Send help. Or Coffee. Or help and coffee. Both. Yes. Both is good. In lieu of the manager's creative bankruptcy... here are some new games. The prosperous Kingdom of Greengully, ruled for centuries by the Forever King, has issued a decree to its citizens to colonize the vast lands beyond its borders. In Charterstone, a competitive legacy game, you construct buildings and populate a shared village. Building stickers are permanently added to the game board and become action spaces for any player to use. Thus, you start off with simple choices and few workers, but soon you have a bustling village with dozens of possible actions. In Cat Lady, players are cat ladies, part of an elite group of people including Marie Antoinette and Ernest Hemingway. During the game, you and your fellow cat [...]

Today’s going to be a nice quiet day…

Hey PI-Fans, It never fails. I sit down with a cup of coffee to do the paperwork and BAM! I guess I shouldn't complain. Of course, in most RPGs, speaking is a free action, so by extension, complaining is as well. And speaking of RPGs, well... D&D restocks are in. So, time to load up on those Player's Handbooks, Monster Manuals and Dungeon Master's Guides, especially with the Dungeons & Dragons Adventurer's League in full swing, Monday nights. Those with more esoteric tastes will appreciate Xanathar's Guide is back in stock as well, along with the Starter Box for those looking to jump in. And for the discerning DM planning to branch out, consider a look at Critical Role's Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting, the Tome of Beasts, a bestiary chock full of brand new beasties and Prepared: Tombs & Dooms, a book of micro-dungeons for when your players inevitably wander off the beaten [...]

Hey. Let Me Tell You A Story…

Hey PI-Fans, We're going to keep doing our thing. Apparently, our thing, is to keep the flow of goodies going. So on top of the new stuff is a stack of new RPG paraphernalia as well. This doesn't just mean Dungeons & Dragons, mind you. Titles like Green Ronin's A Song of Ice & Fire  and Dragon Age are back on our shelves, and if you're looking to spice up your gaming experience or trying something new, consider taking a crack at critically acclaimed titles like the Ryuutama: Natural Fantasy RPG, My Little Pony: Tails of Equestria and the ever popular Call of Catthulhu (not a typo). Back to board games, we've got a new pile of Machi Koro: Bright Lights Big City, Citadels, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, The Resistance all ready to be cracked out over the upcoming CNY. Of course, if your tastebuds are jaded, you were waiting for the [...]

I’m going to reuse this header because nobody will notice… Wait…

Hey PI-Fans, We're keeping the good stuff flowing, folks. This means the new stuff keeps rolling, regardless of whether your preferences are board games, card games, wargames or RPGs. So why not swing by and check out the cool stuff? You’ve spent all day dealing with meddlesome adventurers slaying your monsters and taking your stuff. Now it’s high time you kicked back for an evening at the Black Dragon Depths, the Undercity’s counterpart to The Red Dragon Inn. Drink, gamble and roughhouse with your frenemies. Just remember to keep an eye on your gold, because your tablemates will be trying to take it from you, and if you run out, you’ll be spending the night wandering the dungeon in The Red Dragon Inn: Villains, a standalone spin-off of The Red Dragon Inn. From the pages of the... wait. Wasn't this a card game...? In the Sentinel Comics Roleplaying Game, you [...]

New Year, New Stuff?

Hey PI-Fans, It's 2018. Happy New Year! The staff are still recovering from the 2017 Holiday Rush, but as they say, 'The Spice Must Flow'. And this means new stuff is inbound. The Legendary Marvel Deck Building Game leaps headfirst into  the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Legendary: Spider-Man Homecoming expansion. With Peter Parker and Tony Stark headlining the pack, this Legendary expansion features and all new set of heroes and villains and new mechanics with the Coordinate and Danger Sense keywords as you work to survive the onslaught of the Vulture and his crew. Things have gone surprisingly badly and... well... The Captain Is Dead. All the crew have to do is get the ship's Jump Core back online to win, but with a hostile alien ship trying to destroy you, that is easier said than done. Work together to keep the ship running under an enemy assault and maximize the abilities [...]

“Keep Him Off The Cart Because He’s Not Yet Dead”

Hey PI-Fans, It's been a while hasn't it. If you're wondering why the manager is on the verge of bursting into song (Monty Python's Spamalot, btw), it's probably because the holiday rush hasn't successfully run him over. Yet. But hey. 2017 isn't over yet and you know it's going to try. In the meantime, you'll be happy to know we're still plugging along and doing our thing, and that means we've got weird, wacky and wonderful stuff just in time to round out the year end. Gather your band of heroes and journey to the edge of the Terrinoth in Legacy of Dragonholt! The first game to use the Oracle system, Legacy of Dragonholt captures the spirit of a roleplaying game without needing a game master. This narrative game for one to six players allows players to build their own unique hero and embark on six noble quests. Battle goblins, foil the plot [...]

Hey PI-Fans, Yeah. With the Holiday Season upon us, it's been a while since we've posted something. It's unfortunately true. We're somewhat swamped. On the other hand, we're still keeping the store full of awesome for you. And we're kicking off the week with a bunch of new releases. “Let go of the illusion that your Art is superior, that your studies are complete! Take up the Sensei's Path, and your path towards the true Art is just beginning.” – the Scroll of Onitama Sensei's Path is a card expansion for use with Onitama and contains cards that can be used as a standalone set of Move cards instead of those found in the base game or shuffled with the original 16 cards during Game Setup to create a multitude of new card combinations! It's a fine dining frenzy! In Menu Masters, you are a world-class chef, brimming with ideas [...]

The Weekly Recap – 17/11/17

Hey PI-Fans, Wow. This week's been rough. But hey. Weekend is here. So joy. And just in time for the weekend, is a shelf full of stuff. For Honor and Glory! With the Great Clans of Rokugan besieged on all sides by forces both external and internal, the Great Clans need concepts like honor and glory to maintain peace and order. In the hardest of times, it is honor and glory that keep a samurai from losing themselves completely and assist them in finding a path through the darkness. Manipulate the stack in Pyramix! In this simple yet elegant strategy game, take turns removing one cube at a time from the pyramid stack. As cubes are removed, gravity causes others to slide down towards the base. Plan your moves carefully as the bottom-most cubes are worth big points at the end. And watch out for cobras that may drop in and [...]
