This week, keep your eyes out for Who Should We Eat, a semi-cooperative survival themed card game of overly convenient cannibalism. Next up is Best Treehouse Ever, a resource management card draft about outdoing your friends and rivals and assembling the… well… Best Treehouse Ever.
Those looking for something more gritty can take to the mean streets of LA with the LA Crimes expansion for Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game.
And then there’s more Singaporean Dream. Yep. The smash hit Singaporean Dream is getting an expansion pack, and it’s now available at Games @ PI as well.

In Best Treehouse Ever, players compete to build their best treehouse, outfitting their treehouse with cool rooms, while also making sure that their tree doesn’t tip over and that their rooms are more impressive than all of their friends’ rooms at the end of the game. Building takes place over three weeks/rounds, and in each round, players use card drafting and spatial reasoning to add five new rooms to their treehouse. Players must pay attention to the other treehouses being built since they take turns determining which types of rooms score for everyone at the end of each round.
Who Should We Eat? is a semi-cooperative game of desert island survival and resorting to cannibalism way too quickly. You know that not all of you will make it off the island, which means that only the strong will survive, but deep down you also feel something supernatural about this place — that the veil between the spirit world and this mortal existence is paper thin, meaning that victims can strike back against their tormentors and harass them from the world beyond.
Detective: L.A. Crimes, the first campaign expansion for Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, consists of three separate cases that come together to form a full story.
Travel to sunny California, and delve deep into the drug-filled Los Angeles of the 1980s. Experience being an L.A. detective, and realize that you may need to stretch the laws a bit to suit your needs. Try some controversial methods to solve your case, all the while battling with the red tape of bureaucracy. Use all-new mechanisms of stakeout and observation to learn more about your suspects.
