2018 just blew on by us. Between the end of the year and the Dungeons & Dragons Charity Epic, we’ve been… busy.
If you’ve been keeping up to date with us, you’ll already know we’re looking for new staff to join the team.
On the other hand we’re not about to let something like the Christmas Rush slow us down.
We’ve seen a rush of new titles over the Christmas season, including Fireball Island, Discover, GEN 7 and Sentinels of the Multiverse Oblivaeon, but a new year wouldn’t be a new year without new stuff.
So HAVE AT IT!
Our world has widened before us. Corporations expand their operations to all corners of the solar system in pursuit of minerals and resources. Terraforming Mars: Colonies, an expansion for Terraforming Mars that can be played with only the base game or with any combination of expansions, lets you visit the outer solar system. It features colony tiles where you can build colonies and send your trade fleet. It also includes new cards and corporations.
Cross the Narrow Sea with the Mother of Dragons expansion for A Game of Thrones: The Board Game! Clawing their way into power, this expansion includes a side board of the Free Cities of Essos and an overlay of the Eyrie, as well as new characters and mechanics to bring House Targaryen and House Arryn into the fray. As you make your claim to the Iron Throne, you can call other Houses to your cause with the new vassal mechanic, or even ask for aid from the Iron Bank of Braavos. But be cautious, for the Iron Bank will have its due, and if your campaign proves to be a poor investment, the money lenders’ retribution will be swift.
Before the Age of Sigmar, there was the World-that-Was, and it’s time to go back. It’s time to wear your jaunty feathered hat, strap on your pauldrons, unleash your small but unreasonably vicious dog and take to the streets of Old World in the Fourth Edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Returns to the original grim world of perilous adventure, get the gang together, create your (anti)heroes, and set off to make your way through the vile corruption, scheming plotters and terrifying creatures intent on destruction. And after that, THEN take on the forces of Chaos.
And because. I can… remember BattleTech?
