What Price Trust?

Yesterday was a very sad day for PI.

Yesterday we caught a person who was suspected of shoplifting in the store. (The Big PI)

He was one of us, 'us' being defined by me as a gamer. Someone who enjoyed gaming all that it entails. He was handed over to the police and it is now up to the legal system to take it's action.

What has hurt me more is the fact that he was one of 'us'. A Gamer.

I have always given the benefit of the doubt to most of my customers and it's common knowledge that we have late night gaming on most nights with staff and with ex-staff.

These late night gaming sessions will now be ending as a result of the actions of one member of the community. Trust once lost is very hard to regain and that is the situation I am facing.

I will update more as this progresses.

It's always very hurtful and disappointing when this happens - as I work in retail too.
I don't game at PI - visited a few times though and as an outsider, I think it's unfair to the rest of the honest gamers, to cancel the gaming sessions.
Perhaps you could think about suspending them while you guys come up with system to improve your security?
For example, it might be just as easy for walk in customers to shoplift your products if they are not security tagged....

Maybe there should be MUCH more security, such as electronic tagging, more security cameras or something....
