PI Auction 2010The June holidays are almost here. Everyone needs games! PI is organising the Ultimate Dutch Auction on the last Sunday of this month; 30th May 2010!From 12pm to 6pm; we expect to auction off all forms and types of gaming awesomeness. Program: 30th May 2010 Members Only 11am – 12pm Games Preview (Looksee at the auction items.) 12pm to 2.30pm - 1st half 2.30pm to 3.15pm - Break 3.15pm to 5.45pm - 2nd Half Auction Format: Dutch Auction A Dutch auction is a type of auction where the auctioneer begins with a high asking price which is lowered until some participant is willing to accept the auctioneer's price, or a predetermined reserve price (the seller's minimum acceptable price) is reached. The winning participant pays the last announced price. Awesomeness include the following;
There will be slots for 50 bidders only. 20 seats (for sitting on the day itself, the rest will have to stand/walk around) awarded on a first come first served basis. Each bidder can reserve up 1 seat. After the seats are fully reserved, only standing room will be available for the remaining bidders. You can also download the list here or there (alternate link) and submit your sealed bids for the games in advance (from 14th of May 2010). Your sealed bid thus becomes the reserve price for the item for the auction (if it is the highest). All sealed bids are to be in by the 26th of May 2010. Submit your Name, Existing Membership Number (that means haven't expired yet), reserve bids for indicated lot item (if any) with Subject: PI Auction Reservation to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it PI reserves the right to amend terms and conditions. Auction list are subjected to changes (we pray not) due to unforeseen circumstances (such Acts of God etc etc). |

- I had my 2nd-hand unpainted minis submitted last Tuesday but after 10 days it was not processed yet?

It's always very hurtful and disappointing when this happens - as I work in retail too.
I don't game at PI - visited a few times though and as an outsider, I think it's unfair to the rest of the honest gamers, to cancel the gaming sessions.
Perhaps you could think about suspending them while you guys come up with system to improve your security?
For example, it might be just as easy for walk in customers to shoplift your products if they are not security tagged.... -
